We are afraid of doing wrong things

Likho on his childhood always afraid of doing wrong things in front of his elders and his neighbors. When he was sixteen years with his friends decide to go to tavern after their final exam. They bought ciders, when he was about to finish his first cider his teacher enter in the tavern. He drops the bottle immediately because he was a good boy at school, he was afraid of his reputation to his teacher. He always sacrifices because he wanted to keep his good reputation to others and he was a good example in his surroundings.

On 31 December at 00:00 hours, Eastern beach when everyone was celebrating New Year. With his friends they all carried six pack ciders, his friends shouted at him “be a man today don’t be afraid of anyone, its festive broer” he agree. They drink, comes his teacher to celebrate with them, he throw his cider on grass his teacher grab it and hold his hand and said “do not be afraid of me, be fearful of God”. We are afraid of doing wrong things in front of those around us, but we forgot that God saw every step we take nor he’s invisible to our eyes.

Fish falling from the sky

Fish falling from the sky it may sound weird, but it had happen in some countries like Australia. There happens a huge rain caused by tornado. Small fishes come out of the sky in hundreds but the weird thing is that they all fall down but still alive. This scene left residents speechless because they never saw such thing before. Residents were all over places picking up these small fishes.

In the earliest days strange falls from the sky actually appear in the Bible - the Book of Joshua in the Old Testament. According to one story, the Israelites, led by Joshua, have routed the Amorite army and are in hot pursuit of the survivors when a shower of stones fell from the sky and killed more of the enemy than died by the Israelite sword. The Bible goes on to mention other strange happenings in regards to falls from the sky, with the frogs that plagued Egypt not being the least of them.

What is the colour of wind?

What is the colour of wind? What I know about wind is that it blows. Wind is intangible. Wind is untouchable. Even the scientist don’t know what colour of wind is, if they did maybe we would know what colour is now. At high school level in Geography my teachers only taught me that the cold wind sinks and the warm wind rise. They never taught or predict the colour of wind. The climatologists on TV when they predict weather, you would see that cold front or warm front is blue. Who told them that the wind is blue? Well I still wonder and wanted to know also.

Maybe technology counts on me, since I was learning in the old curriculum of twentieth century. Maybe the changing of curriculum and technology these days can elucidate and label the colour of wind. I would classify wind with love, love is colourless and intangible. Whereas you would see on Valentine’s day people caring red flowers, red heart cards, wearing red clothes. Who told them love is red? Well I don’t know. When I was young at home with my sisters we usually demonstrate the colours, of which red is for danger, pink for new love, white for peace. But people on Valentine’s Day wore red (danger) and white (peace) meaning danger plus peace is equal to love.

I did lots of research before written and posting this blog but unfortunately didn’t receive proper answers. Maybe in the next century scientist and technology will be able to identify the colour of wind.

PASMA a student vanguard

When I was doing my first year I’ve seen that post graduates are important to PASMA. Every year at Bellville campus after graduation they honor and introduce fellow colleagues, who graduated. They usually do braai called graduation fair at poll house in Bellville campus. I joined the structure because I wanted to honored one day, but unfortunately for me I never get that opportunity because last year I change from Bellville to Cape Town campus.

Since I’ve been in Cape Town I’ve seen that everyone is on his own. Graduation fair encourages students to pass and also post graduates share views and encourage students to do their best. Students believe in PASMA because if the matter is in their hands they will solve the matter as soon as possible. I remember on 2007 NSFAS did not approve my application, PASMA negotiate to the management of CPUT so that I could register 2008 whilst I was still waiting for NSFAS to clear my outstanding balance.
To me PASMA will always the structure/ organization I will recommend as the best. PASMA a structure that strive for freedom of student in higher education.

If i were the boss

If I were the boss I will make sure that I firstly draft rules and regulations that everyone will adhere to them. I will make sure before drafting them I discuss them with my employees. I will draft consultation hours so that everyone should know when to consult me. I will make sure that nepotism doesn’t happen in my Company. I will employ those who qualify for the specific vacancy.

I will make sure that I inform my employees about the progress and the failure of the Company. If I were the boss I will make sure that every employee does their task. I will elect supervisor that have supervisor skills and management skills.I will make sure that those who have done and finish their task before the assigned time will get vouchers and certificates. I will schedule weekly and monthly meetings and remind them in advance. I will make sure that every year-end will do closing function. Conflict between my employees, will make sure that is sorted out by employees before going further. Hygiene will be my Company first priority. Being a boss doesn’t mean that you have to be a monster to your employees.
