Democracy vs. Discrimination

We are living in a democratic country where “everyone has inherent dignity and the right to have their dignity respected and protected” (act 108 of 1996 SA Constitution). We as people of South Africa underestimate the right of some individual according to who they are.

On Wednesday last week when Zukile and his wife Andile went to khayelitsha to visit their gay friend (Ayanda), they went to a tavern near Ayanda’s place. They buy buzz and had fun, after few hours come six guys asking for lighter unfortunately they don’t have. Zukile ask Andile to accompany him to the toilet, two guys follow them but they didn’t notice.  After they finish pee they kiss and hug each other, the two guys come and stand in front of them while they were kissing each other and ask what they think they are doing? They beat, kick and even stab them. These guys say they are ruining the reputation of being a man.

Do you think we should satisfy people off what we are doing? I guess no. We are all human being with same blood and prejudices. Tavern owner called police to arrest Zukile and Andile saying its them who started and disturb his customers. Ayanda was not out of the closet in his area because they ask him about his friends and if he is also a gay he denied because he was afraid of his reputation and judgments from his neighbors.

The police asked them about their status, they said they are married. They also beat them and lock them in cells saying they are devils and also spoil the reputation of man. The police open case of assassination against them, say its them who killed a lesbian in Langa the past two days. They get life sentence for attack and murder.

Is that fair? Well democracy is not free and fair to all in South Africa, especially for those who believe and practice homosexuality

Then the man replied poignantly "sorry but really you look familiar".

After five years dating each other they plan to get married. Sango ask Thandi about her parents, they decide to go visit Sango's parents at Gauteng. Sango's parents devoced two years ago and his mother decide to go to jo'burg. After visiting his mother then they decide to visit Sango's father at Gugulethu  (Cape Town) to introduce his fiance to his father.

Thobelani was not happy about their marriage saying its too soon. They must first know each other properly. They never married because Sango was Thandi's half brother and Thobelani was their father who went to Cape Town searching for a job, but got married and never go back home.

what does PR entails?

Public Relations are activities used to create “public interest” in a business/ corporation, institution or even a person or an idea.  It is also the management function which evaluates public attitudes, identifies the policies and procedures of an individual or Organization with the public interest, plans, executes, and  evaluates a program of action to earn understanding acceptance.PR departments or individuals work to build a bond with employees, customers, investors and the general public. The business world of today is extremely competitive. Companies need to have an edge that makes them stand out from the crowd, something that makes them more appealing and interesting to both the public and the media. The public are the buyers of the product and the media are responsible for selling it.
How do I become a PR Manager
Public relations managers are responsible for promoting and managing the public images of their clients or organizations. To become a public relations manager, you first should earn at least a four-year college degree in public relations, communications, journalism or a related area. Before choosing a college program, make sure that it offers internship opportunities; working in an internship will allow you to compile writing clips, gain experience and possibly make connections for future employment. Writing skills are vital to this career, as are oral communications skills, so it is important to hone or polish these abilities.
The main goal of a public relations department is to enhance a company’s reputation. Staff that work in public relations, or as it is commonly known, PR, are skilled publicists. They are able to present a company or individual to the world in the best light. The role of a public relations department can be seen as a reputation protector.

The importance of Communication in Organisations

The importance of Communication in Organisations

Communication is easily overlooked, but the ability to communicate effectively is necessary to carry out the thoughts and visions of an organization to the people. The importance of speech and words whether through a paper or a voice is a communication medium to convey directions and provide synchronization. Without communication, there is no way to express thoughts, ideas and feelings.
There are many ways to provide communication from the organization to the people of your community. Whether through a phone, fax, email, letter, website, instant message software’s, social networking websites (face book, twitter, MySpace) and etc. Things can be expressed, ideas can be shared, and thoughts can be joined.
The ability and the importance of communication become much more crucial when you are on a mission or need to fulfill a goal. Without a means to communicate, your organization will become isolated. The ability to effectively communicate is very important when it is usually underestimated and overlooked.
Communication is a necessity as we use it to network, spread ideas, and promote. Communicate effectively through well known mediums and convey it simply and precisely. The importance of communication is crucial to the success of your organization because you need to reach out in order to fulfill your mission.

live life

Life is unpredictable, life is full of redundant desires and most crucial things. Life is too short to live with regrets, enjoy life completely. Life is full of obstacles we should manage to overcome them. Life is about bringing changes, moving forward and doesn’t reflect to the past

Life is the sum of experiences that we encounter as we go through life. Day to day struggles and triumphs are experienced by all of the world's creatures.
As human beings, when we encounter a challenge, we have freedom to choose how to react. Every decision that we make leads us down a different road.

We will never come to exactly the same crossroads.  Every decision that we make has significance. The tiniest choice we make reverberates throughout the entire universe
Live life and don’t let life to live you.
